By combining the power of the Internet with the control of a locally installed application, MedProcure offers procurement solutions that are unmatched in healthcare today. An integral part of our solution is the ConnectMGR portal, an Internet application with the following features and benefits for both healthcare providers and their distributors.

Flexible Electronic Trading:

Manually creating and processing orders is inefficient—and costly—and electronic orders can reduce costs.ConnectMGR provides three different methods for placing orders electronically so that you can choose what best suits your business.

  • Electronic Document Exchange: ConnectMGR provides the capability to send purchase orders electronically to all distributors. Those orders can be delivered in practically any format, including EDI, FTP, SFTP, AS2, email, or customized integration to back-office systems. Our solutions can eliminate rekeying, phone tag, waiting for faxes, and all the other problems that arise from manual ordering. Plus, with electronic confirmations, providers can be immediately aware of any backorders or price changes.
  • Fax Order Forms: Some customers still prefer using Fax Order forms. Connect MGR takes the hassle out of managing and distributing Fax Order forms for those customers. Distributors can produce and update these lists remotely over the Internet and email them to customers with the click of a button.
  • Quick Orders: Quick Orders allows providers who do not have the SuppliesMGR application to log on to ConnectMGR, view their item list, and effortlessly generate an electronic purchase order, which is then delivered in the format preferred by each distributor. Distributor sales personnel can also use this powerful tool to create orders while in the field.
  • Quick Scan: Quick Scan integrates our small keychain size scanner directly with ConnectMGR. By allowing users to scan shelf labels, and quantities, Quick Scan dramatically improves the speed with which an order can be built and sent to your vendors.

Customer Item Lists:

Distributors can create and maintain customer pricing through ConnectMGR, and updates are automatically forwarded to each provider’s local SuppliesMGR application. Distributors avoid the problems with maintaining current customer pricing while improving both margins and customer service.

Low-Cost Integration:

ConnectMGR can interact with distributors’ systems through the exchange of electronic documents, so no custom integration is usually required. We work with what’s already in place, and that means we avoid the high implementation costs traditionally associated with electronic commerce.

Optional Remote Order Approval Process:

Many healthcare providers are part of larger groups that desire centralized review and control. By using the order approval process in ConnectMGR, providers can create orders locally and transmit them to the portal, where they are held for final approval and release. Authorized users can review, edit, and release orders for all locations in their group.

Purchase History:

A record of all customer purchase orders is maintained on ConnectMGR. These orders, as well as order confirmations, can be viewed by all authorized users for each account.

Streamlined Accounts Payable:

SuppliesMGR users can optionally process inventory receipts on their local system to generate receiving verifications. These receiving reports can be forwarded to accounting, simplifying the invoice approval process and ensuring that you pay for only what you actually received.

Advertising:

Manufacturers and distributors can use ConnectMGR to deliver product information and online ads directly to the desktop of each SuppliesMGR user. And, ads can be customized according to the type of customer (physician office, long term care facility, or surgery center) and other criteria.

 

The connectMGR portal allows long term care facilities and med/surg offices using a local suppliesMGR application to exchange purchase orders and other information with distributors and manufacturers. connectMGR also maintains item/price information and purchase order history for suppliesMGR users, defines document delivery specifications for distributors and manufacturers, downloads online ads to local suppliesMGR systems, and provides Quick Orders for generating electronic purchase orders directly from the portal.
